My Sweet First Stotckist
Great news!
The lovely ladies from Sweet Pea, a gorgeous hight tea in Jackson Street, ask me if I would be interested on display some of my embroidery work in their shop. They loved the Not War cross stitched series so I bring two of my works today.
I think it is time to look for more shops or cafes to display my work… they look lovely don’t you think? :)

Thank you Sweet Pea!! :D
With Love
It is true that love should be demonstrated all year round… but there is something special in the air on Valentines Day. This year I decided to work with a new technique I wanted to try (inspired by String Art) and I design an embroiderer artwork for my dear husband. I used a normal stretched canvas, the ones you can get in any crafty shop and I pick the Coolvetica Font to write the word “LOVE” on Illustrator. After I printed out I translated the word into the canvas just making little holes in the font’s outline and started stitching into the font without any pattern.
I loved the result of this experiment and my husband too! :)

I want to become… an artist
My goal for 2012 is clear… I want to become an graphic/embroidery artist.
It could sounds odd but I’ve work on graphics and craft in different times in my life. For example 2010 was a year for crochet, 2011 was a year of embroidery… and I was missing graphic design so why not mix everything I love to do. I don’t want to drop off anything.
So I though what if a start creating pieces that involve typography and layouts with some embroidery touches. Or you can see it as embroidery pieces with graphic design style or inspiration.
So I started… I created a series of cards with very minimal style with a handmade detail, here they are some samples:
