Hi there! /
My name is Maribel, graphic & web designer, embroiderer & artist. Originally from Chile I’m currently living in Wellington New Zealand since 2009, with my husband and our two kids.

The Graphic Designer /

I have done many freelance projects in the printing, branding and web design areas. I have completed my projects on time and with my client needs satisfied. I have the ability to translate the ideas and concepts into clean and elegant designs. As a designer my focus is to give the best final product, with a positive attitude and great ability to learn new skills. I am a very creative and versatile person always making new project in graphics and crafts.

The Embroiderer & Artist /

After more than 10 years of crafting, mostly cross stitching, and when I got enough of the classic cross stitch patterns, I decided to start creating my own designs. That’s how Stitch & Design, my own label, was born.  In 2009 I discovered the wonderful world of Amigurumis, the japanese art of crocheted dolls and creatures. I created some original designs in flowers and little monsters. My main goal for 2012 is combine my graphic design skills with embroidery and craft, to become a multimedia artist.

Designer Statement /

I always expect to continuously develop my skills and talent as a graphic designer and embroiderer, reaching new limits of creativity, and always including a touch of feminine sensitivity and a classic sense of beauty. My design is highly influenced by minimalism and simplicity, as I believe that sometimes less is more.
